Where are Anatolians From?

The Anatolian Shepherd dog breed is composed of regional variations of “shepherd’s dogs” from across Anatolia/Asia Minor in modern Turkey and surrounding regions.

This map shows the topographical features across the region, which can explain much of the variation in dogs raised in different areas.
