Beginnings
Hercules was born here on the property to Jyn out of Ares. He stood out in his litter as the pick male. Herc took to the sheep and goats as a young pup, and we have many photos of his submissive behaviors with the sheep in particular.
Now
Hercules works with our free ranging poultry primarily, but he has experience with all the stock here on the farm.
June 2025, Herc got both his major wins at the Missoula dog show, and finished his AKC Championship title in September.
July 2025, Herc’s health testing was performed and passed! We look forward to seeing his offspring in the future.
Temperament/Personality
Hercules is assertive with the other dogs, in work and play. He remains submissive with our livestock, which is great to build trust and foster their bond. He is a solid working dog and adaptable in off-property settings.
Color/Size
Hercules is a dark brindle, black mask dog with a short coat.
He stands 30″ at the withers and weighs 120 lb. at 2 years old
Favorite Things/What He Brings to the Program
Our favorite thing about Hercules is his heart for the animals he protects. He loves babies of all species and fiercely protects them.
Hercules’ First Litter
Hercules and Daisy are expecting a litter of puppies in January 2026. Limited space available, so reach out if you’re interested!
Herc is #12 Breed and #13 All-Breed 2025 in 2 Shows
Attending two dog show clusters in 2025 earned Hercules top-15 placement in Anatolian Shepherd Dogs for breed and all-breed! He earned his Bred-by-Exhibitor Championship title.
